Different strokes for different folks, right?

Before I say this, I just want to evince that I believe ONE HUNDRED PERCENT that depression and all forms of mental illnesses are legitimate ailments. And as someone who has struggled with eating for years, I can personally say that mental problems can be extremely detrimental in multiple ways.

Now that that is out of the way…

I understand that in some cases depression is a purely chemical thing (as opposed to circumstantial depression like the way a person feels after a relative dies, etc.) and it isn’t really something that you “get over”… However, if you romanticize what you’re going through, you definitely narrow the chances of getting better. This goes for anything.

I just hate seeing posts that pretty much glorify being sad all the time. It’s not good to be sad and it’s not cool to hate everyone and it’s not fun to have anxiety.

No offense there Crowley, but I’m pretty sure your “best friend” will turn you to dust the second you stop being fun or useful.
